Arylcyclohexylamin

Arylcyclohexylamine For Sale

It is thought that the first known arylcyclohexylamin having anesthetic qualities was phencyclidine (PCP). Nevertheless, a number of arylcyclohexylamines were reported in the scientific literature prior to PCP, starting with PCA (1-phenylcyclohexan-1-amine), whose synthesis was initially reported in 1907. Although PCP was identified in 1926, the pharmaceutical industry did not begin studying it until the 1950s.PCE and PCMo (4-(1-phenyl-cyclohexyl)-morpholine; see chart below for figure) were reported in 1953 and 1954, respectively, with PCMo being regarded as a strong sedative.

At Parke-Davis, arylcyclohexylamine anesthetics were thoroughly studied, starting with the 1956 PCP research and then moving on to the related chemical ketamine. These substances first became known as illegal recreational drugs in the 1970s, particularly PCP and its analogs, because of their euphoric and dissociative effects. Since then, the class has grown because of both covert chemists looking for new recreational drugs and scientific studies on stimulant, analgesic, and neuroprotective compounds.
